Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education Holds 2023/24 Organizational Meeting

(FORT MCMURRAY, AB - August 22, 2023) - The Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education held their annual Organizational Meeting for 2023/24 on August 21, 2023.

The Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education elected Trustee Cathie Langmead to the role of Board Chair. Trustee Anthony Hoffman has been elected to the role of Vice Chair. 

Chair Cathie Langmead says she’s looking forward to continuing to lead the Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education, “I’m immensely grateful for the dedication of the entire Fort McMurray Catholic Schools family for ensuring as safe a learning and working environment as possible. I’m excited to continue to implement our strategic plan as well as advocate for the children and families we serve. I am most looking forward to continuing our collaboration with students, families, teachers, administration, Bishop Gary Fraken, our parish, community partners and various stakeholders.” 

Fort McMurray Catholic Schools Superintendent Natasha MacArthur-Poole is pleased to be working with a strong team, “Congratulations to Chair Cathie Langmead and Vice Chair Anthony Hoffman. We look forward to continuing to work with our Board of Trustees to support excellence in Catholic education and continual improvement as a Division.

The next meeting of the Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education will be held on September 18th at the Catholic Education Centre.
